Saprozoic nutrition:

Saprozoic nutrition is a way some animals and insects get their food. In this type of nutrition, organisms absorb nutrients in liquid form from the dead bodies of other animals or from the environment. These organisms do not directly eat solid food like other animals but instead absorb the nutrients from decaying matter.

  • Examples of organisms that show saprozoic nutrition include houseflies, ants, and spiders. Houseflies often land on decaying food or dead animals and absorb the liquid nutrients. Ants and spiders may also feed on decaying organic material.
  • This type of nutrition helps in breaking down dead bodies and recycling nutrients back into the environment, playing an important role in maintaining balance in nature.
