Lithosphere:

The lithosphere is the outer layer of the Earth, made up of solid rock. It includes the Earth's crust, where we live, and the upper part of the mantle. Hilly regions display grassy expanses, sand, crops, forests, and deeper soil layers. Land features include gentle mountain slopes and sheer rock cliffs. Under the lithosphere, water is present on the earth's surface. About one-third of the earth's surface is land, divided into seven continents: Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, and Australia. Uneven landforms, such as plains, hills, and mountains, are present in different places.
