Region Type of House Examples
Regions of Heavy Rainfall Houses with sloping roofs to allow rainwater to run off quickly. Houses in Kerala and Assam have sloping roofs made from tiles or thatch.
Regions of Medium Rainfall Houses with flat or slightly sloped roofs, made from bricks or wood. Houses in central and eastern India with flat roofs for moderate rain.
