Definition

Perpendiculars: When two lines intersect and the angle between them is a right angle, then the lines are said to be perpendicular.

Perpendicular bisector: The perpendicular bisector of a line segment is perpendicular to the line segment that divides it into two equal parts.

Notes

1. Perpendicular Lines:

When two lines intersect and the angle between them is a right angle, then the lines are said to be perpendicular.
Two intersecting lines are perpendicular if the angle between them is 90°.
If a line AB is perpendicular to CD, we write AB ⊥ CD.

2. Perpendicular Bisector:

The perpendicular bisector of a line segment is perpendicular to the line segment that divides it into two equal parts.

line NL is perpendicular bisector to AB.
