Combined forces:

Combined forces occur when more than one type of force acts on an object at the same time. These forces can work together to cause movement or change the way an object moves.

For example,

1. When a roller coaster moves, several forces work together, such as:

  • Gravity: Pulls the coaster downward.
  • Friction: slows it down at certain points.
  • Mechanical Force: The machine’s engine helps move the coaster upward.

2. On the seashore, when a sailboat moves:

  • Wind Force: Pushes the sail to move the boat forward.
  • Water Resistance: Slows down the boat as it moves through the water.
  • Gravity: It keeps the boat stable on the water.
