Useful Living Things:
1. Plants are very useful to us for different purposes. They are used both in homes and industries.
- Some plants are used as food, such as fenugreek (methi), potatoes, okra (bhendi), apples, and bananas.
- Other plants are used as medicines, like Vasaka (adulsa), hirada, behada, and asparagus. These plants help treat different health problems.
2. Animals also play an important role in our daily lives. Some animals are kept for domestic purposes, such as dogs and cats, which are kept as pets. Cows and buffaloes provide us with milk and other dairy products.
- Animals used as food, including fish, sheep, and fowl (chickens), are commonly eaten.
- Some animals are useful in work and transportation, such as horses, oxen, and camels, which are used for carrying loads, farming, and other work.
3. Earthworms are extremely helpful in farming. They make the soil fertile by breaking down dead plant material, which helps crops grow better. This is why they are often called "farmer’s friends."
