The Universe
Earth:
Earth is the third planet in our solar system after Mercury and Venus. It is unique because it is the only planet where life exists.
- It acts like a magnet, which means it has a magnetic field around it.
- This magnetic field protects Earth by diverting harmful rays from the sun, like solar radiation, away from most of the planet.
- These harmful rays are directed towards the polar regions, where they cause natural light displays known as the Northern and Southern Lights (Auroras).
