Reflection of Reflected Light

Reflection of Reflected Light:

Light can undergo multiple reflections, where it bounces off more than one surface before reaching the eye. This phenomenon explains how we see images in setups involving multiple mirrors or reflective surfaces, such as water.

For Example,

  1. Saloon Mirrors: Mirrors in front and behind reflect light multiple times. The back mirror reflects the image of the back of your head, which is reflected again by the front mirror, allowing you to see the back of your head.
  2. Moon’s Image in Water: Sunlight reflects off the moon's surface. This reflected light then reflects again from the water, creating the image of the moon in the water.
