Topics

Relationship of Soil Pollution with Air and Water Pollution:

  1. Improper Disposal of Wet Waste: Rotting organic waste breeds harmful bacteria. Rainwater can carry these pathogens into water bodies, causing water pollution and health risks.
  2. Agricultural Chemicals: Insecticides and weedicides can become airborne, causing air pollution. Excess fertilisers are washed into water bodies, leading to water pollution and harming aquatic life.
  3. Animal and Human Waste: Decomposing waste releases harmful gases, contributing to air pollution. Runoff can carry this waste into water sources, spreading diseases and contaminating ecosystems.
